Developing an Auxiliary Power Unit to connect to existing locomotives which will supplement the energy being generated by diesel fuel with cleaner burning, cheaper natural gas. The APU can generate 2,000 HP for an estimated 8 hours. The Compressed Natural Gas is contained in the white container in the back in pressurized cylinders and, when empty, is designed to be pulled from the unit and replaced with another GSM that is full.

Bright Energy Storage Technologies, LLP is a group of extremely talented Mechanical and Aviation Engineers who came up the idea of using an I-6 diesel engine block as a compressor and expander to drive a UQM traction motor using air as the fuel.

SkyLouver Systems, out of Denver, Colorado, is currently deploying its daylight harvesting system to a customer in Baltimore, MD. Through the use of innovative roof louver design and other solar collectors, the sun energy striking the roof of a commercial building is captured, stored as hot water and used to provide domestic hot water and heating inside the building, The light is redirected with parabolic reflectors inside the building reducing most if not all the need for artificial lighting. Interior lights are controlled via ZigBee and EnOcean wireless technology.
The system is controlled by embedded computer technology, (upper right in panel), interfacing through Metz Connect Digital Output and Analog Input Modules, using Modbus RTU communications. Programming, monitoring and other HMI functions are through standard laptop web software.
